Search for elderly couple: Lincolnshire Police are searching for an elderly couple in relation to a collision in Lincoln which left an 82-year-old man in a serious condition.

Lincolnshire Police are searching for an elderly couple in relation to a collision in Lincoln in which an 82-year-old man was hospitalised.

As previously reported, the elderly man was riding a mobility scooter in the cycle lane on Newark Road when he was knocked off by a vehicle at around 11.50am on Friday, October 17.

The man remains in Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, in a serious condition.

After police dismissed an earlier call to find the drivers of a small red car which left the scene before their arrival, they now wish to bring this appeal back to attention.

They would like to speak to an elderly couple who may have been driving the red car.

Both are described as being smartly dressed, 60-70 years old, the gentleman was wearing beige trousers and a cream body warmer.

On Sunday, October 19, police also appealed for information regarding a white car, believed to have been in the area at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact P.C. Luke Wells on 101 or call the Collision Witness Hotline 01522 558855 quoting incident number 194 of October 17.
