The body of 39-year-old Emily Holloway from Lincoln has been discovered in Nottinghamshire, after she was reported missing in December 2014.
Emily was last seen when she took a taxi from an address on Yarborough Road to Newark on December 2.
Lincolnshire Police began an investigation alongside forces in Nottinghamshire following her disappearance.
The force was notified by colleagues in Nottinghamshire Police that the body of a woman was discovered in the county on January 7.
Officers have now confirmed the body to be that of missing Emily Holloway.
Formal identification has now taken place and Emily’s next of kin are aware.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious. A file is being prepared by the coroner and an inquest will be carried out in due course.
Lincolnshire Police said they are extending their condolences to Emily’s family and their gratitude to everyone who helped circulate the appeal to find her.
