Lincoln MP to host transport seminar this week

Join the conversation: Applications are open for a special seminar discussing Lincolnshire transportation issues with industry experts.

People in Lincoln and the surrounding areas are invited to a special seminar addressing transport topics including rail and road issues, and a park and ride service for the city.

The seminar, hosted by Lincoln MP Karl McCartney, will provide a platform for discussions with experts from organisations including East Midlands Trains and Virgin/Stagecoach, Network Rail, Department of Transport, other public transport companies and local councillors.

The event will take place between 8.30am and 4pm on Friday, January 30 at The Assembly Rooms on Bailgate, and will be split into three sections with refreshments.

Application forms are available online at a cost of £15 which covers lunch and refreshments. Those unable to attend can also obtain a written summary of the day for £5.

A draft agenda has also been posted online in the lead-up to the event.

Lincoln MP Karl McCartney said: “My priority is to do all we can to improve our transport and infrastructure system both for the residents of and businesses in our city of Lincoln and also our visitors to Lincoln who bring with them the money that supports our local shops, tourist attractions and jobs.”
