Rewind: BGU Lincoln general election hustings

Election debate: Candidates vying to become Lincoln’s next MP took part in an election hustings at Bishop Grosseteste University.

Candidates vying to become Lincoln’s next MP are taking part in an election hustings at Bishop Grosseteste University this evening.

Conservative candidate Karl McCartney, Labour candidate Lucy Rigby, Liberal Democrat candidate Ross Pepper, Elaine Smith for the Trade Union and Socialist Coalition and Helen Powell from Lincolnshire Independents are all attending the debate. Tony Wells will stand in for UKIP’s parliamentary candidate Nick Smith.

Around 200 students will question the city’s parliamentary candidates from 6.30pm and the debate will be live streamed on YouTube by BGSU (currently not available due to technical issues).
