Lincoln biker hospitalised after serious crash on edge of city

Critical condition: A 60-year-old motorcyclist from Lincoln is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a crash near Lincoln.

A 60-year-old man from Lincoln is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a collision with a car on the edge of the city.

The crash, which involved a blue Ford KA and a Suzuki 600 motorbike, happened on Jerusalem Road in Skellingthorpe at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, August 19.

Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed until around 9.30pm.

The car was being driven by a woman in her 20s, who is not thought to have suffered any injuries.

The Lincoln motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Lincolnshire Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the collision, or either vehicle around the time of the incident, to call 101 quoting incident number 335.

The crash happened only a week after a biker was tragically killed in a crash in Lincoln.
