Lincoln man racially abused in city centre shop

Police appeal: A 58-year-old Lincoln man was racially abused in a health and beauty shop in the city centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 58-year-old Lincoln man was racially abused in a health and beauty shop in the city centre.

The man was shopping in Savers on Sincil Street at around 2.30pm on Saturday, August 15 when he was involved in a verbal altercation with a woman, who was also with another man and woman.

This led to a racially aggravated comment being made to the victim.

A number of other shoppers in the store at the time and officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard what happened.
