Man arrested on suspicion of robbery at Lincoln village petrol station

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a petrol station in Saxilby.

As previously reported, the robbery at Otters Bridge Filling Station on Gainsborough Road happened at just after 7am on Thursday, August 13.

A man wearing a balaclava and carrying a knife threatened a female member of staff before stealing a large quantity of cash.

Police have subsequently arrested a man from the Gainsborough area on suspicion of robbery on the morning of Monday, August 17.

He is currently in police custody where he will be interviewed in due course.
