Cyclist suffers leg injury in Lincoln A46 crash

Cyclist hit: Traffic ground to a halt in Lincoln this morning after car and a cyclist collided.

Traffic ground to a halt on the A46 in Lincoln on the morning of Wednesday, September 30 after a cyclist collided with a car.

A woman who was riding a bike near to the Doddington roundabout in Lincoln was hit by a silver Honda Civic just before 9am.

She suffered a leg injury and is currently being treated.

One lane of the A46 between Carholme and Doddington roundabouts was closed for some time while emergency services attended the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the collision to call 101, quoting incident number 60 of September 30.

The crash is the second involving a cyclist and car in Lincoln in less than 24 hours.

Emergency services were called to Rookery Lane on the evening of September 29 after a crash between a car and pushbike.

No injuries were reported from this incident.
