Lincoln brought to a halt after moped crash with pedestrian

Crash update: Areas of south Lincoln were brought to a stand still on the evening of Tuesday, November 3 after a moped collided with a pedestrian.

Areas of south Lincoln were brought to a standstill on the evening of Tuesday, November 3 after a moped collided with a pedestrian.

The crash happened at around 5pm on Newark Road near to the Gatehouse pub.

Police have confirmed that a female pedestrian in her 40s was injured in the crash, however injuries are not thought to be serious.

The 19-year-old moped driver from Lincoln was not injured.

A section of Newark Road was closed until around 7.30pm.

It was the second time in a matter of weeks that a collision has occurred on Newark Road.

As previously reported, Alexander Sutherland, 70, from Lincoln, sadly died after the crash on the evening of Friday, October 23.
