Former plumber Colin, 36, who built an underground lair in his back garden with the help of Sky 1’s new series You, Me & The Apocalypse, has marked the project as his biggest to date.

With a Youtube channel that’s achieved almost 1.7 million subscribers, Colin’s 10ft deep bunker in his Stamford garden is going viral.

The bunker is accessed via a hidden hatch in his inconspicuous garden shed, measuring 16ft by 20ft and housing everything you’d ever need in an apocalyptic situation – along with a few entertaining extras.

While faced with no current threat of catastrophe, the bunker will be serving Colin as a subterranean ‘man cave’, complete with wide-screen television, lounge furniture and Wolverine-inspired weaponry.

Colin said: “I was asked ‘what would you do if the world was going to end in 24 days?’ and I said ‘I’d make a bunker’.

“I have inside a fully-functioning kitchen, a working toilet (all be it not very private) and even my ejector bed.

“In future videos I’d like to look at making an air filtration system and different ways of generating power other than using petrol generators.

“I should also thank Sky 1’s You Me & The Apocalypse programme because they funded this and made it all possible.”
