Vandals smash up Lincoln village army cadet hall on Remembrance weekend

Windows smashed: Police are investigating criminal damage to an army cadet hall near Lincoln ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating criminal damage to an army cadet hall in a village east of Lincoln ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Vandals smashed five windows to the front and side of the hall off Main Road in Washingborough, which have now been boarded up.

The damage is believed to have occurred sometime between 3pm on Saturday, November 7 and and 8.30am on Sunday, November 8.

The hall in Chapel Park is home to the Washingborough detachment of the Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force, who are aged between 12 and 18 and meet every Monday evening at the centre.

Anyone who witnessed the damage, or who has information, should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 120 of November 8.
