A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found at a house on Elizabeth Road in Boston on Friday afternoon.
The 32-year-old local man is in police custody for questioning.
As previously reported, emergency services were called to the home in Boston at 2.25pm on Friday, May 20 where the body of the woman was found.
Formal identification has not yet been carried out and officers said they are not in a position to be able to name the deceased woman.
A post mortem examination will take place in due course.
DI Jim Hodgson, of EMSOU Major Crime, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of Elizabeth Road between the hours of 6pm on Thursday May 19 and 3pm on Friday, May 20 and may have seen or heard anything they think might be relevant to the enquiry.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 228 of 20/05/2016. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
