Organisers of the first OSB Events Lincoln Half Marathon have released 500 places for those wishing to complete the course as part of a relay team.

Running duos will be able to change over at the halfway point in Castle Square. The first person will run from the Lincolnshire Showground to Castle Square and the second person will run from Castle Square, into Lincoln city centre and back to the Showground.

There will also be a music hot spot and plenty of parking and cafes at the changeover point.

As reported previously, the half marathon is set to take place on October 2, and organisers hope to raise around £250,000 for partner charity, The Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours to Cancer’ Foundation, along with Cancer Research UK.

Ethan Maull’s charity is raising money for a home in Lincoln where families can stay while their children receive cancer treatment.

Entries cost £40 per team, and can be purchased online here.

The 13.1 mile route is to be confirmed soon, with the provisional course outlined to start and finish at the Lincolnshire Showground, winding through the historic Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln, into the lower part of the city for a loop of the Brayford and then an uphill climb back to the finish line.
