Popular singer-songwriter, Newton Faulkner will be taking to the stage at the Engine Shed as part of a series of shows to celebrate the venue’s 10th anniversary.

The Lincoln show will take place on Saturday, October 8 and will be an exclusive show by the well-known performer.

Tickets go live on Thursday, June 16 at 10am on the Engine Shed website and will cost £22.

Newton Faulker first became popular in 2007, with his debut album ‘Hand Built By Robots’ and rocketed to number one with his single ‘Dream Catch Me’.

The acoustic-pop style singer has now released his fifth studio album ‘Human Love’ which he will perform at the Engine Shed in October.

Also performing in the venue’s milestone year is returning comedians: Russell Howard, Ross Noble and Jimmy Carr, who added a second date to his Lincoln appearance due to high demand.

The Engine Shed, which first opened in September 2006 has a capacity for around 1,500 people and has had a number of big names perform there throughout its ten years.

Hayley Jane Wilkinson, Student Union President, said: “Following the sold out shows with Russell Howard, we’re excited to announce another big name for these landmark anniversary events.

“Newton Faulkner has been one of our favourite act’s who’s play here in the last few years, and sells out the venue every time so it’s great to have him back for an exclusive show.”
