A 36-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of supplying New Psychoactive Substances (known commonly as legal highs).

The arrests were made following the first raid by Lincolnshire Police under Section 39 of the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 – which was introduced in May this year.

This is the first warrant of its type that we have conducted in Lincoln city centre.

Officers burst into the first floor flat on Archer Street at around 10.30am on Monday, June 27.

Eight people were in the building at the time of the raid, and police ordered all occupants to leave to allow officers to search the flat.

Another man was arrested on a separate charge, which was not disclosed by police.

Three men and two women walked free from the raid.
