A section of the A631 at Glentham will close for just under four weeks for overnight resurfacing works.

The work will take place from Monday, August 8 to Friday, September 2.

The closure will be from 8pm-6am to minimise disruption, and during those times there will be a temporary road closure between Bishop Norton road and the A1103 Top Road.

No works will take place on Friday, August 26 prior to the bank holiday.

Lincolnshire County Council says the road has reached the end of its working life and is in need of full resurfacing to ensure it remains in good condition for the future.

Steve Brooks, senior project leader of major schemes, said: “During the works, the road will be closed overnight to traffic and diversion routes will be signed via the A631 west, the A15 south, A46 Lincoln bypass, A46 north, A631 east and vice versa.

“We will ensure that local access will be available to residents and businesses within the area of the works, but there may be some disruption while construction is underway. We would appreciate your co-operation while this restriction is in place.”
