Man seriously injured after Grimsby weapons attack

A 28-year-old man sustained serious head injuries after a group attack involving weapons in Grimsby.

The assault happened on Winthorpe Road, on the Nunsthorpe Estate in Grimsby on Tuesday, July 19.

The incident was reported to police at 9.15 pm and is under investigation at the time of writing.

It is believed a group of people may have been involved and police are now looking to identify those people as well as anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

The victim remains in Diana Princess of Wales Hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward to speak to officers and ask that they call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 724 of July 19.
