Detectives have charged a man with a robbery at a jewellers on Victoria Street in Grimsby.

Joshua James O’Dea, 26, of Honister Road in Manchester was charged with robbery and failing to surrender to bail at the appointed time.

He appeared at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, August 27.

The robbery was reported to police on the morning of March 15, and resulted in a “significant amount” of high-value jewellery being reported as stolen.

A 32-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man who were arrested and on bail in connection with the incident have now been unconditionally released.
