Lincoln friends Steven White, Mark Doughty and Chris Over have set themselves a charity fundraising challenge of running seven half marathons in seven days.

That’s 91.7 miles in all and they’ll finish by running the inaugural OSB Lincoln Half Marathon on Sunday, October 2.

They know the week will be tough, but with the support of the people of Lincolnshire they hope to raise over £5,000 for the Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours to Cancer’ Foundation.

With help from his committed parents Darren and Sam, Ethan set up his foundation with the aim of helping other families and children battling cancer.

When Ethan was diagnosed with a rare form of Osteosarcoma, he set himself the target of raising money for Ward E39 at Nottingham Children’s Hospital and, ultimately, to fund another house for visiting families in Lincoln.

Steven, Mark and Chris are all keen triathletes and runners.

Steven and Mark hold respectable Outlaw times and Chris is the natural runner.

The first day will see them run from the OSB Events Offices in Gainsborough to the Dambusters Inn in Scampton.

Other routes will see the trio visit Doddington Hall, the Bomber Command Memorial in Lincoln, the 617 Squadron War Memorial in Woodhall Spa, Brayford Pool, Hartsholme Lakes and Whisby.

You can donate towards to trio’s marathon efforts via their Just Giving Page.

All money raised will be donated to the Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours to Cancer’ Foundation
