A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was set on by a group of three men in Grimsby.

The incident happened at around 6.30am on Wednesday, August 10 and officers remain at the scene at the time of writing.

The 28-year-old victim was approached by a group of three men, who were known to him, on Humber Street.

Police say the group are thought to have arrived in a Vauxhall Corsa before assaulting him.

He is being treated at Hull Royal Infirmary. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
