A 69-year-old man from Louth has been found after an extensive missing person appeal, with the aid of search dogs and air support.

Stephen Dobbs had been reported missing after he was last seen in the Church Lane area of Louth at 11.30am on August 9.

Police said they were concerned for his welfare after his car was discovered in Church Lane. Searches were carried out in the wooded area near to Church Farm.

Police in Louth confirmed that he had been found on the morning of Wednesday, August 10. They thanked those who shared the appeal.
