Month-long road resurfacing works to begin in Grimsby

A series of road closures will be in place for resurfacing works in the Grimsby area from Monday, August 8.

The works will take place in Laceby and on the Willows Estate in Grimsby and are expected to be ongoing until Thursday, September 1.

Laceby

Resurfacing works are taking place on High Street, between New Chapel Lane and Church Lane, and will include the renewal of road markings and damaged kerbs.

The works will be carried out from Monday, August 8 to Wednesday, August 17 under daytime road closures between 7.30am and 6pm, diversion routes will be in place.

Grimsby – Willows Estate

These works will include patch repairs, planing and resurfacing of the road and renewal of the road markings in the following locations:

  • Wingate Road from Crosland Road up to and including the Cromwell Road junction
  • Larmour Road, between Anderby Drive junction and Wingate Road junction
  • Wingate Road between Larmour Road junction and Crosland Road junction

Pre-preparation work will be carried out during the day with temporary traffic lights.

The resurfacing and remarking of the road will be carried out overnight between 7pm and 6am.

Advanced notification signs will be displayed on site before the night time closures and diversion routes will be in place.

During the closures, any affected bus services will be diverted and advanced notices will be displayed on the buses and bus stops that will be affected by the closures.

North East Lincolnshire Council and its partner ENGIE issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by the works.
