Police firearms teams descended on a Lincoln home, arresting two teenagers after an air rifle was fired from a window into neighbours’ gardens.

Shots were fired using a high powered three foot long air rifle, described as a mimic of a sniper rifle, from a house on Moorland Crescent on the evening of Sunday, August 14.

Lincolnshire Police deployed their firearms team from Sleaford just after 9.16pm, and officers stormed the property.

The rifle was found along with two other BB guns.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were arrested under section 16 of the firearms act.

Police said no charges had been made by the time of publishing.
