Stamford inventor Colin Furze has built a 360 degree swing in his back garden – the only one in the UK – and it looks like a thrilling ride!

Colin, 36, built the 18ft tall swing in his back garden, which towers over his family home.

The swing has no straps or harnesses and uses Colin’s body weight to propel him around the metal structure.

The axle, which Colin stands on to spin him around is just over 16ft long.

The love of swings initially came from his 3-year-old son, but Colin wanted to take it that one step further.

The swing used to be taller and the arms used to be longer but while Colin was swinging, he found that the entire structure rocked – which he didn’t like.

Colin said: “Well, it makes me feel sick but it is brilliant.

“With just 25kg counter weight you can swing until you feel sick.

“Towering 9.5m above the ground with nothing to stop you falling of is not for everyone but you great a great view.”

Colin’s next plan is to add some form of motor to the swing to make it go around without using only his body weight to propel himself.

As well as this incredible swing, Colin has also created contraptions such as a 5000 shot firework Death Star, a homemade hover board and a flamethrowing guitar – which can all be found on his Youtube page.
