A man and woman from Hull are being treated for serious injuries in hospital after their car collided with a lorry near Louth.

As previously reported, the crash happened on the A157 Main Road, South Reston at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, September 7.

The 83-year-old man is in a life threatening condition and the woman, whose age is unknown, has sustained serious injuries after the crash.

The man and woman, who were driver and passenger in the car, were taken to Hull Royal Infirmary via air ambulance.

There are no reports that the driver of the lorry suffered any injuries.

The road was re-opened at 10pm last night.
