An 18-year-old cyclist has sustained “extensive” injuries after being hit by a silver car on the A1077, which failed to stop.

Just before 7pm on Friday, September 29, a man was cycling westbound along the A1077, Ferriby Road, between the A15 interchange at Barton-upon-Humber and South Ferriby, when it is alleged a silver vehicle collided with him.

The 18-year-old cyclist came off his bike, breaking both his arm and leg and causing extensive bruising and grazing to numerous places on his body.

The silver car did not stop at the scene and continued to drive in the direction of South Ferriby.

Officers investigating the collision say they want to speak to the driver of the silver car.
