We’ve listened to your feedback and with this update we introduced a new, more discreet push notification sound for breaking news and traffic alerts — something our readers and app users said they found very useful and unique in Lincolnshire.
The push notifications menu has been simplified too, with just two options: Breaking News and Traffic Alerts — both of which you can switch on and off individually. As before, we aim to give you up to five updates per day.
You can also enjoy our photo galleries in full screen now (just tap on a photo to expand, and pinch to zoom) and browse through the photos by simply swiping left or right on your screen.
With our vibrant social media community topping over 110,000 people across Lincolnshire — the largest in the region for any media outlet — our comments section in the app has been wildly popular. Now we made it even easier to jump to the comments from the top menu in each story too.
You loved this feature on our website, so we brought to our app as well — use the little arrow in stories to go back to the top of the screen. And a quick tip: you can swipe between stories too, without going back to the home screen.
We hope you enjoy our app update and for any feedback, please use the comments below or email us directly on [email protected].
The Lincolnite welcomes your views. All comments are reactively-moderated and must obey the house rules. Please stay on topic and be respectful of other readers.
