A man has been charged after being seen with a knife near a primary school in Grimsby.

As previously reported, police were called at 8.49am on Thursday, October 13 following reports of a man in the area with a knife near Woodlands Primary School.

Officers attended and a 35-year-old man was arrested on a public order offence at 8.59am.

Children were kept inside the school on Pinewood Crescent throughout the day as a precaution.

Thomas Storer-Talbot of Pinewood Crescent has now been charged with possession of a knifeblade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He has been bailed to appear at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates Court on October 26.
