The doors of a Lincoln Italian restaurant have been bolted and staff ordered to  vacate by enforcement agents.

Italian House, a restaurant, pizzeria and coffee bar based on Silver Street was closed suddenly, with notices posted to tenants and customers.

Penham Excel Limited issued a notice on October 12 stating they had re-entered the property and the lease had been determined.

They said: “Any attempt by you or your agents to enter the premises will result in criminal/civil proceeding being taken against you.”

Following the closure, for sale boards appeared on the building on behalf of agents Pygott & Crone.
