Fundraising pages set up in memory of a Lincolnshire mum and daughter who were tragically shot dead in Spalding have topped £4,000.

Charlotte and Claire Hart died after being shot by father and husband Lance Hart in a swimming pool car park in Spalding on Tuesday, July 19.

Lance was also killed when he then turned the gun on himself.

Claire, 50, was well known in the community and had worked in a Morrisons supermarket. 19-year-old Charlotte was a midwifery student.

Their funeral was held in the town in August.

Brothers Luke, 26 and Ryan Hart, 25 created a website in memory of their mum and sister and aim to raise money for Wood Green animal charity, which was close to their hearts.

They also used the site to share cherished memories, photos and videos of their sister and mother.

The brothers said: “Charlotte and mum were both animal lovers and supported the Wood Green Animal Shelter.”

The site has raised over £2,400, and donations can still be made via the link on the site here.

Family friend Kate Haynes also set up a JustGiving donations page in memory of Charlotte and Clare, which has raised almost £2,000 towards the expenses of the funeral.

She said: “Hatt Close, Moulton and Spalding became the centre of attention due to the tragic deaths of Claire and Charlotte Hart. Two ladies, both as beautiful as each other, mother and daughter – mum and sister to Luke and Ryan.

“Our two families have been close friends for many many years. We have shared days at the beach, seen in many New Year together, celebrated birthdays, enjoyed summer BBQs and bonfire nights’ all the normal things that friends do.

“My children have grown up with Luke, Ryan and Charlotte. Claire and I have shared many tears of joy and tears of sorrow. We have shared life.

“Now all we can do is try and help the boys over these next few months peice together a new normal/”
