The attack happened at around 5pm on Friday, November 18, in the Victoria Street bus station, under the shelter of stand C.

The boy was seated on a bench with friends when he was approached by a man he did not know who shouted at him and caused a laceration to his face with an unknown sharp implement.

The attacker then left on a red BMX bike along George Street.

He is described as being in his mid 20s, of slim build, around 6ft tall with short dark hair.

Officers believe he was wearing a black hooded top and black jogging bottoms.
