The team at Britain’s Got Talent are returning to the city next month for a second round of auditions.

On Friday, December 9 between 11am and 3pm, Britain’s Got Talent scouts will be heading to Waterside Shopping Centre to stage a second round of auditions.

Scouts from the popular TV show last visited the city in August, with hundreds of local dancers, singers, musicians and entertainers performing in the hope of securing a spot on the programme.

The last auditions saw Lincoln’s very own opera singing taxi driver, John Malone, sing his own rendition of Nessun Dorma.

Launched in 2006, Britain’s Got Talent has been the springboard for many successful show business careers, including Susan Boyle, who sold over 20 million records worldwide, dance troupe Diversity, Paul Potts and Collabro. This year’s winner was magician Richard Jones.

Dean Cross, General Manager at the Waterside said: “It’s fantastic for Lincoln that Britain’s Got Talent is returning to the centre.

“Last time there were here hundreds of people came down and auditioned.

“If they’re coming back to Lincoln the producers must have been impressed with what they saw first time around. ”

There’s no need to book a timeslot but people under 16 will need to be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
