A man has been arrested and bailed in connection with a break-in at Spalding United FC’s social club.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man on November 5 in connection with a burglary at the social club in the early hours of October 24.

As previously reported, eight bottles of spirits and around £250 was taken from the gaming machine.

The contents of a charity box were also stolen.

Andrew Gay, chairman of Spalding United FC, stated that he was “giving up” and that it was “time to close down” after the break-ins.
