A man who brandished a knife in a Scunthorpe Ladbrokes betting shop before escaping with a large amount of cash remains on the run.

The knifepoint robbery took place on Ashby Road at just before 8pm on Tuesday, November 1.

The man, described as in his 20/30s of large build, wearing dark clothing and with a dark scarf obscuring his face, left the store with an unknown amount of cash after threatening the cashier.

Luckily no-one was injured in the robbery.

House to house enquiries and witness statements have so far led to no arrests by officers.
