Update, Monday, December 12: Following this appeal, police established the identity of the two men pictured. No arrests have been made, however detectives are continuing with the investigation.


Police investigating a series of attacks in Cleethorpes have released CCTV images of two men they are looking to speak to.

Officers were called to a pub on Grant Street by ambulance crews just after 2am on Friday, December 9.

A 32-year-old man was assaulted after it’s said he attempted to intervene in a fight in the toilet of the venue.

A 35-year-old man also suffered minor facial injuries after being assaulted by two men answering the same description in the same location.

The 32-year-old and his friends left the venue and saw the alleged attackers in a taxi.

It is then claimed the suspects got out of the car and assaulted a second 32-year-old man, leaving him with head injuries.

A 29-year-old man was also assaulted in the incident and suffered minor facial injuries.

The first suspect is said to be white, with short blond hair, around 5ft 11in tall and of muscular build. He wore a blue top.

The second was also white, with short dark hair and muscular build. He wore a lighter coloured top.

Humberside Police have said a 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody at this time.
