A 58-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after suffering a shotgun injury to his arm.

The incident happened at around 10am on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at a farm near Whaplode.

The injured man was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham by air ambulance.

Lincolnshire Police have said an investigation is underway and a local woman has been helping with officers’ enquiries.

The incident is being dealt with under reference number 111 of December 8.
