Gainsborough College students have restored a Costa Coffee cart, which will be used to sell food and drink to shoppers at Marshall’s Yard.

Students from a range of courses, including Painting and Decorating, Carpentry and Joinery, and Automotive Engineering, have been involved in the project which has seen them restore the damaged cart.

The cart will be used by Costa Coffee to sell food and drinks to shoppers in Gainsborough’s Marshall’s Yard.

Automotive Lecturer Kev Gibbon said: “This has been an amazing opportunity that has seen students gain work experience as well as build their enterprise skills.

“They have worked well together and I am proud to see them working with the community to bring something special to the town.”

Andrea Turner, Regional Manager for Costa Coffee, said:

“We have used local suppliers for all materials, from paint to the canvas cover for the roof which was made by Eve Hearn, a local seamstress who used to work at the college.

“The cart will be used to support the store during special event days organised by Marshall’s Yard, who have been very patiently waiting for the return of the cart.

“We look forward to welcoming our customers to Marshall’s Yard to see the cart in place.”
