The Lincoln Ice Rink on City Square has been closed this morning due to a technical fault.

Organisers of the popular Christmas attraction are contacting those who have pre-booked sessions on the rink to rearrange a return visit.

The fault has caused the ice on the rink to melt.

Crews are in the process of fixing the issue at the time of writing and the attraction will be reopened once the ice has re-frozen.

UPDATE: Organiser have said the rink is likely to be closed for the rest of the day, with hopes to reopen again on Christmas Eve.
