A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with reports of an attempted armed robbery in Scunthorpe.

As reported previously, the incident happened at a 24 hour shop on Ferry Road on Wednesday, November 30 at around 3.45am.

A member of staff reported the incident to police shortly after a masked man allegedly entered the store carrying a weapon and threatened the staff member for cash.

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody as part of ongoing enquiries.
