Grimsby man Daniel Sleeth has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to four burglaries in the town in November and December last year.

Sleeth, 35, was already serving an eight year prison sentence, having been convicted of three burglaries and an attempted burglary at Grimsby Crown Court on Friday, January 8.

He will now serve both sentences.

Detective Constable Darren Fox, the officer in charge of the investigation said: “I am delighted that Sleeth has been sentenced to a further four years.

“He is a prolific offender and was a one man crime wave while in the community.

“I am sure his victims will be equally pleased given the heartache and distress he caused.

“The sentence really reflects the severity of his offending and should serve as a warning to other burglars that they can and will be identified and brought to justice.”
