An 81-year-old tractor driver appeared before Lincoln Crown Court this afternoon (Thursday, December 1) accused of causing death by careless driving.

Richard Ivan Lenton of West Fen, Stickney, was charged following an incident in which motorist Paul Evans died when his car entered a water-filled ditch at Hobhole Bank following a collision on April 13 this year.

No plea was taken at today’s hearing and Lenton was granted unconditional bail to appear back before Lincoln Crown Court on February 27.
