Many people woke up in parts of Lincolnshire this morning to the sight of a white carpet across their gardens.

Flurries of snow caused localised disruption during the morning rush hour, with the pictures below showing the scene in Grimsby.

Snow has also made an appearance in Skegness this morning, with a number of roads lightly covered.

Snow has affected other areas of the region, with this picture being taken in the fields near Woodhall Spa.

Showers of sleet and snow are expected to continue to affect lowland areas in the east of the county on Saturday, January 14.

A Met Office snow warning is in place from 12.05am to 2pm on Saturday.

Forecasters are predicting continued disruption to transport networks due to snow or ice.

Flood warnings

Warnings for localised flooding are in place across the Lincolnshire coast and the banks of the Humber.
