Staff at a Lincoln GP surgery have dedicated their ‘good’ rating in a recent inspection on care and safety by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to the late senior partner, Dr Ansari.

Cliff House Medical Practice on Burton Road was rated as ‘good’ in recent reports on the quality of care provided by GP practices.

Doctor Shahid Ansari, who worked as a senior partner at Cliff House Medical Practice, passed away in hospital during the early hours of Friday, October 28, aged 64.

An announced comprehensive inspection took place at the practice on August 11, 2016.

In the report, inspectors said: “Patients said they found it easy to make an appointment with a named GP and there was continuity of care, with urgent appointments available the same day.

“The practice had good facilities and was well equipped to treat patients and meet their needs.”

Errum Ansari, managing partner at Cliff House Medical Practice, said: “We are pleased with the outcome of our CQC inspection and we would like to dedicate it to the late Dr Shahid Ansari. The inspection was carried out on August 11, 2016, before Dr Ansari sadly died in October.

“He was such a dedicated GP and loved by his patients. This is another reminder of what a fantastic job Dr Ansari did for the practice and his patients.

“This is also testament to all the hard work that has been put in by our staff since Dr Ansari passed away, and the same team at Cliff House Medical Practice will continue Dr Ansari’s legacy by providing the excellent level of care and service to patients.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our patients for their continued support of the practice and its staff.”
