An opening date has been set for the new Food Warehouse by Iceland supermarket in Lincoln.

The new store, based on Tritton Road, will officially open on Tuesday, February 14 at 9am.

Capital Shopfitting have been on site for a number of weeks in order to transform the store, which was previously a Netto.

Netto had originally opened in October 2015, only to close its doors again nine months later in August 2016 after the Dansk Supermarket Group ended ties with Sainsbury’s.

The new Iceland store will provide a combination of frozen and chilled food as well as big pack bulk buys, wines and beers and special ‘get it while you can’ homeware deals.

The opening is expected to create a number of new jobs in the area.
