Tributes have been paid to a Scunthorpe mum-of-four who tragically died after collapsing in court.

Hayley Gascoigne, 32, became ill in the public area of Hull Crown Court on Thursday, January 26.

Witnesses have described attempts to revive Hayley by court staff then paramedics.

Hayley was a former pupil of Foxhill Comprehensive and studied at Grimsby College.

Tributes have been paid on social media following the tragic news.

Coleen Hyman wrote: “I used to serve her often in Spar. We always had a little chat and laugh, worked with her sister at Berkeley Juniors too.

“She was a lovely, warm kind person and this is just so tragic.”

Zara Jayne Allison said: “A truly beautiful lady inside and out. This lady did my work experience with me and inspired me to do what I do.”

Maxine Brackenbury wrote: “RIP Hayley, you was such a lovely young lady. Sending love and hugs to all your family xxx.”

Hayley Stringwell added: “So sorry to hear this dreadful shocking news. So sorry for your mum and dad, kids and family.

“Heaven has gained another beautiful angel far too soon. Rest in peace darling xxx.”
