TV thieves carry out string of Lincoln New Year burglaries

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to four burglaries which took place during the New Year period in Lincoln.

In all cases, TVs were stolen. The burglary incidents are as follows:

  • January 1, 2017 – Between the hours of 9.30am and 8.30pm a property in Deansleigh was broken into. The offender smashed a french window to gain entry.
  • December 30, 2016 – A kitchen window was removed to gain access to a house in Saxon Street between 3pm on December 30 and 12pm on December 31.
  • January 1, 2017 – Between the hours of 1am and 6.30am a house in Allison Street was broken into via a side or rear door.
  • December 30, 2016 – Tennant of a property in Yarborough Road returned from being away over Christmas to find front door had been forced open.

Officers say each of these burglaries are being treated as connected and anyone with information should call 101.

They have also advised that residents take extra caution, leave valuables out of sight where possible, and report any suspicious activity.
