A brand new automotive festival will be coming to Lincoln later this year.
Pistons in the Park will take place on Saturday August 12 at the Lincolnshire Showground.
The event is a celebration of all forms of transport and will feature cars, motorbikes, trucks and more.
Organisers say the family event will have plenty to see and do both indoors and out, with an emphasis on bringing together an eclectic mix of vehicles never normally seen in one place.
Planned attractions at the event will include:
Celebration of Elegance
Modern Classics exhibit sponsored by Roose Motorsport
Japanese Heroes
Exhibition of American muscle
Custom Culture display sponsored by Lowlife Chopshop
Show and shine competition
Supercar passenger rides
Event Director Dean Graham, whose team organises the Lincolnshire Digital Awards and Lincolnshire Business Expo, said: “We have focused over the last four years on putting on events that we think there is a real desire for in the county.
“There are a number of very popular niche car events held at The Brayford in Lincoln but we wanted to build on that and create an event that would attract lovers of the internal combustion engine from across the east midlands region.
“Lincolnshire is home to thousands of enthusiasts and hundreds of companies that support the automotive industry. Pistons in the Park will bring them together for an event to be the largest of its kind in the county.”
With preparations well underway, the event is looking for businesses, organisations and individuals who might like to support or be involved in the event.
Full details can be found on the event’s website or on Facebook.
N.B event was previously scheduled over two days but due to popularity has been amalgamated into one big event on August 12.

Local businesses often face a range of challenges, yet some family-owned firms in LIncolnshire have not only survived, but thrived for over a century.
These include the Lincoln-based Witham Group, a major lubricant manufacturer and paint supplier in the UK, and White & Sentance, a notable piano business in Sleaford. We spoke to both firms about the secret to longevity.
Carole Glover’s transformation into a Brahma Kumaris over 25 years ago marked a pivotal turn in her life, providing clarity on her previous life experiences.
The spiritual movement was founded in the 1930s by Dada Lekhraj Kripalani, a visionary Indian businessman, also known by the name of Prajapita Brahma Baba. He then passed it over to a trust administered by a group of women who have run it ever since. After experiencing a series of visions in 1936, he was inspired to create a school where the “principles and practices of a virtuous and meditative life could be taught.”
