A woman has sadly died after a car crashed into a parked car transporter in Grimsby.

The incident happened at shortly before 9.25pm on Wednesday, February 15 on Peaks Lane, and involved a silver Ford Fiesta.

The front seat passenger, a 29-year-old local woman, was taken to the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, a 50-year-old local man, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with leg injuries.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and are particularly keen to speak the occupants of a white Seat and a black Peugeot, which were parked close to the Fiesta in the YMCA car park shortly before the incident.
