Motorists should expect significant delays on the A17 this morning after a lorry crashed into a field.

The incident happened at 7.36am on Boston Road, when the lorry was travelling on the eastbound carriageway, just to the east of Sleaford.

The A17 continues to be closed at Holdingham.

The driver, a man in his 50s, has sustained minor injuries.

Significant delays should be expected on the A17 around the whole of the Sleaford area.

Motorists should also be aware of building traffic on the A15 heading south towards the Holdingham roundabout.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police has said that officers do not yet know how the crash happened.
