With early bird prices soon coming to a close, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice has said places for the third annual Lincoln Colour Dash are selling out fast.

The end of life care charity is hosting the 5k event at the Lincolnshire Showground on Saturday, May 13.

Last year, 3,500 participants, who completed the course whilst they were showered in environmentally friendly coloured paint, managed to raise £120,000 for hospice care.

The Colour Dash is a 5k route dotted with various coloured paint stations, ensuring participants get sprayed every kilometre.

Entrants must be over five years old, and anyone under 16 must also be accompanied by a paying adult.

Becky Otter, Event Manager for St Barnabas Hospice, said: “After the huge success of the previous two Colour Dash events we have hosted, we are expecting another sell-out this year.

“Colour Dash is for all ages, and you don’t have to be a runner to take part! Whether you run, walk or dance your way round, you should feel proud that you are doing it for such a good cause.”

With registration for the event in full swing, there is less than a month to book an early bird space – costing only £15 for adults and £5 for children.

An early bird family ticket is also available for only £35. These prices will be valid until March 1, 2017.

Included in the registration fee is a fundraising pack, neon sunglasses, a bottle of water, a poncho and a commemorative medal.

People can register online here.
